Plant Name: Lawa Cacti

Location: Anywhere in the desert, most commonly found north of the Iron Canyon

Effects/Uses: There is actually nothing particularly useful or dangerous about this plant. However they are generally avoided due to an unusual tale about them which indicates that they... move. In truth there is an animal which looks nearly exactly like them, and roams the deserts slowly in search of water and the small animals it feeds upon. Lawa Cacti are (after breaking their outer shell) an excellent source of water.

Description: Lawa Cacti grow up to eight feet tall, and are topped by a fibrous flower which turns red in the summer and wilts through the summer into a dim brown. The remnants of the flower harden and shield the 'meat' of the inner plant as it grows.
